MD, PhD Tomasz Purat is a specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care with more than 15 years of clinical experience. His practice focuses on procedural anaesthesia and perioperative care, particularly anaesthetic support for orthopaedic and reconstructive procedures of the musculoskeletal system.
He graduated from the Karol Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences in Poznań. He gained professional experience at clinical centres in Poznań – at the Clinic of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Treatment of the Heliodor Święcicki Clinical Hospital and in the Anaesthesiology and Orthopaedic Postoperative Care Department of the Wiktor Dega Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Clinical Hospital. Years of work in a dedicated orthopaedic anaesthesia department have given him broad experience in supporting extensive orthopaedic procedures, caring for patients immediately after surgery and treating acute postoperative pain.
His practice extends beyond orthopaedics: he has also worked with same-day surgery, otolaryngology and reconstructive surgery teams, building broad expertise in procedural anaesthesia across specialties.
