From 1 June 2022, we are changing the organisational rules for patient visits:

  • Visits take place every day,
  • To ensure epidemiological safety and because of the hospital’s work, suggested visiting hours are 11:00–17:00,
  • In justified cases, the designated hours may change, but only after agreement with the therapeutic team;
  • Because of the epidemiological state of emergency and for everyone’s safety, visits continue under sanitary restrictions: visitors must wear a surgical mask, disinfect their hands at the hospital entrance and the patient’s room, wash and disinfect hands before care activities, and rooms must be ventilated and disinfected after visits;
  • One person may visit a patient at a time, or two in special circumstances,
  • There is no limit on the duration of an individual visit; however, staff may shorten it if visitors fail to follow the sanitary rules;
  • Please also exercise caution and refrain from visiting if you have symptoms of infection.

We base this decision on the following legal grounds:

Council of Ministers Regulation of 13 May 2022 on the state of epidemiological emergency,
Council of Ministers Regulation of 31 May 2022 extending the current restrictions, orders and prohibitions until 31 August 2022,
Act on Patients’ Rights and the Patient Rights Ombudsman, Journal of Laws 2020.0.849,
Article 5. Grounds for restricting the exercise of patient rights:
The head of a healthcare provider, or a doctor authorised by them, may restrict the exercise of patient rights in an epidemiological emergency or for patients’ health safety; for the right to respect for private and family life under Article 33(1), restrictions may also reflect the provider’s organisational capacity.
