Błażej Rusin, MD, PhD, is a specialist in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal trauma, with a focus on foot and ankle surgery, and holds a doctorate in medical sciences from Poznań University of Medical Sciences. For more than ten years, he has concentrated his clinical practice on reconstructive and minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, combining precision with modern treatment standards developed at leading European orthopaedic centres.
He gained clinical experience at the Greater Poland Centre for Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at the Regional Hospital in Poznań, one of the country's leading orthopaedic centres. He also served as team doctor for Poland's junior national handball team.
He completed postgraduate studies in pain medicine at the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Kraków. He applies his knowledge of pain management protocols directly to perioperative care, improving patient comfort during hospitalisation and recovery.
He is an author and co-author of scientific publications in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal trauma, and actively participates in specialist conferences and lectures devoted to modern surgical treatment of the foot.
He is a member of the European Foot and Ankle Society and the International Society for Minimally Invasive Foot and Ankle Surgery. He regularly attends international courses, cadaver workshops and scientific conferences. He has completed specialist placements at centres abroad, including in Milan, Brussels, Grenoble and Nijmegen.
He has been part of the Halluxmed team since 2014. As Head of the Hospital Department and a co-creator of the centre, he and Dr Zbigniew Jackowiak form the core of its expert team, shaping the development of modern foot surgery at the clinic.
