Patient story: Ms. Natalia

The story of my knee injury began in September 2020. While playing basketball, my knee ‘gave way’ to the side; I felt a crunch and severe stabbing pain. I went to a doctor who diagnosed me with a partial injury of the collateral ligaments and advised me to walk with a brace. After several months I gradually began returning to sport, including basketball. In June of this year, the knee problem happened again during exercise. This time I went to Dr. Paweł Zalita, who diagnosed an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Ligament reconstruction was my only chance of returning to sport. I remember my hospital stay very positively. I felt cared for and lacked nothing. The ward was comfortable, with spacious and convenient rooms. From entering the building, through the operating room, until leaving the hospital, I met many wonderful people and am very grateful for such kind and professional service. The care was of the highest standard—not only during my stay at Halluxmed but also, which is very important, throughout my entire recovery. There was a meticulously prepared return-to-fitness plan, help renting the necessary equipment, follow-up visits, and the entire physiotherapy process. I am sure I will soon play basketball with my friends again. I wholeheartedly recommend Halluxmed.
