My friends recommended Halluxmed when knee symptoms that had clearly worsened after a minor road accident proved significant. The diagnosis was harsh: a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), requiring surgery. I had been running and swimming recreationally for years, and without a functioning knee I could not safely continue either activity. After discussing it with my family, I decided surgery was an investment in the future and should be undertaken.

Choosing the clinic and treating doctor was not accidental. Before choosing Dr Jackowiak’s clinic, I considered several alternatives and asked friends, including people who work professionally in sport, about their experiences. From my first meeting with Dr Paweł Zalita, I knew I was in the right hands. In addition to his education and extensive arthroscopy experience, he enjoys long-distance running and mountain hiking. That convinced me to work with him. I remember my hospital stay very positively. I was afraid of spinal anaesthesia, but the fantastic anaesthesiologist Dr Irek Stachecki prepared me so well and explained everything that my fears disappeared.
During the procedure I was able to watch the operation on a screen. After surgery I spent two days under the care of the doctors and dedicated nursing team in very comfortable conditions. I would especially like to thank Ms Małgorzata Borowska and the entire nursing team for their individual approach and the atmosphere of complete patient comfort. This all helped me control the pain quickly and resume normal activity without delay. The day after surgery I was already walking along the hospital corridor with only elbow crutches…
